Weatherman says....

Most of my work clothes have been hanging on the line since Saturday morning. In a perfect reversal of what's supposed to happen, they have been getting gradually wetter as the weekend has progressed. I am wondering what to do next - will they dry eventually? Will they be smelly? Should I bring in armfuls of sog now and wash again, or leave till they've dried out just a little? Will that ever happen?

Bring them in at once! If they dry wet (if you see what I mean) they'll be musty FOREVER. Do you remember my friend Chris? He had a favourite jumper he let go musty, and for weeks it was a case of "woh, who's been sleeping in bin bags lately?" Re-washing wouldn't do it. In the end he had to take it to the vet to have it destroyed.

I don't agree with charlie I'm afraid. In London if you leave clothes out they always dry - it just has to be continually dry for about three hours - which happens on a daily basis.
