Bike by Pink Floyd was one of the songs that changed my relationship with music (infinitely for the better, if the track listing of my early compilation tapes is anything to go by...). So I am very sad to learn that Syd Barrett has died... he taught me that mad can be wonderful.

Same for me, jo! As a confused fifteen year old, leaving behind bland pop and discovering a world of wierdness, this was an utter classic song from my youth.
When I travelled New Zealand a few years ago, it was also one of my default "mental juke box" songs to sing to myself on the long winding roads.
