  1. I have a picture I feel you might appreciate, illustrating this very concept. After a fashion. here

Oh, I read about these cute but environmentally disastrous little fellows in the paper yesterday. Apparently it's only a matter of time before they will be as ubiquitous on the streets of Bombay as I-Pods are over here. And shortly after that everyone in India will start wanting to upgrade to four-by-fours, and then we're really in trouble.

But then, as the article concluded, why shouldn't 'they' have cars if 'we' aren't about to give ours up...

Yes it's Jonathan by the way. When I have to comment using that 'typekey' thing it changes my display name...

  4. Erm, have you thought about putting a box over a 2-stroke petrol lawn-mower. It seems to me that there's not much in it.

  5. Joella had a box over a two-stroke lawnmower for many years. It was a 2CV called (possibly) Cherry. I assumed it was nostalgia for it that lay behind the outpouring of desire for the Tata?

  6. Dammit Charlie, you're right. I hate it when you're right. I will have to examine this desire in more detail.
